COMMUNICATE.
EDUCATE + ADVOCATE.

My Platform + Message is Simple:

TO FOCUS ON HOW,
(NOT WHAT).

I am running for ANC 5B03 because I believe residents deserve timely, accessible, and clear information about the major changes affecting our neighborhood.

Local governance should be about a fair and transparent process, not a personal agenda. I am not running to impose top-down changes on our community, to pursue personal or political influence/gain.

I have chosen to remain fully independent, with my responsibility firmly rooted in the residents of 5B03—not outside networks or endorsements from special interests.

I answer only to you: the neighbors/residents of 5b03.

The conversations shouldn't just be about WHAT changes we want to see in our neighborhood, but HOW those decisions are made. Every resident deserves to know what's being proposed, understand what's at stake, and have a meaningful opportunity to be heard – before decisions are made.

As your ANC Commissioner, my goals are to:

  • COMMUNICATE: Listen and share information in a timely, accessible way.

  • EDUCATE: Help residents understand the issues, the impacts, the process, and the available options.

  • ADVOCATE: Use that understanding and residents' input to inform your position and your votes.

  • HOW WILL I COMMUNICATE?
Everything starts with listening. I’ll want to hear your concerns, questions, and ideas. I will work to make information about neighborhood proposals, meeting agendas, and upcoming votes easy to access, easy to understand (benefits + consequences) and share it as early as possible, before decisions are made. Avenues include: newsletters, email, meetings, social media. You deserve to be informed and the opportunity to heard.

  • HOW WILL I EDUCATE?
Help residents understand the issues affecting our neighborhood, how decisions are made, and what an ANC Commissioner can and cannot do. An ANC Commissioner has one vote, and I take that responsibility seriously. I will represent the entire community—not just the people who agree with me, or my own personal opinions. These decisions affect our families, our quality of life, and sometimes our actual homes. There will always be challenges, issues and changes. The question is in HOW we address and solve it.

  • HOW WILL I ADVOCATE?
Once the information is shared and residents have had an opportunity to weigh in, I will gather facts, perspectives, and the potential impacts before casting a vote. Even when my personal opinion differs, my responsibility is to listen to and represent and advocate for the community as a whole.

I have spent 14 years serving the neighborhood through Civic and community work (in some cases outside the spotlight), because I care deeply about this unique neighborhood and its long-term well-being. We may not always agree on what should happen in our neighborhood, and we don't have to. But everyone deserves the respect of communication, access to information, and to understand the decision-making process – along with its benefits and consequences.

I am your neighbor, and I am deeply committed to the Brookland community that we all share. I believe we all deserve a representatives who values transparency, independence, open dialogue, and accountability.

Lastly: No donation button—just a commitment to our community. I'm running to serve, not to fundraise. Your voice, your involvement, and your vote are the contributions that matter most to this campaign.

Maybe, once elected, we'll add a button to help fund 5B03 events to bring us all together as 5B03 neighbors. After all, this ANC campaign is about serving our community—and that commitment doesn't end on Election Day.
